The Joy of Life

Recently, a co-worker and I were having a conversation that led to him telling me something that I thought was very profound:


“In life, there is good news and there is information that leads us to good news. Nothing else matters.”

There is no “bad news”. It is either good, or it is something that will eventually bring us to the good.

“And what is the Good News?” he went on to ask.

The Gospel, I answered without hesitation.

The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the Good News.

And what is the Gospel of Jesus Christ?

It is hard work and diligence every day.
It is faith in God, in His will and His timing.
It is serving everyone around us, caring for our brothers and sisters with charity - the Pure Love of Christ.
It is obedience to the Lord and to His commandments, by being baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, taking His name upon ourselves, and always remembering Him.
It is sacrificing the bad for the good, the good for the better, and the better for the very best.
It is eternal families, sealed in Holy Temples.
It is love. The love of God, and love for God; love for ourselves; love for our families; love for life.
It is joy!!

The Gospel of Jesus Christ is where true Joy and Prosperity lies.

And it came to pass that we lived after the manner of HAPPINESS.
